An Indiana County woman is facing felony charges after Pennsylvania State Police alleged she exposed several juveniles to sexually explicit material while an employee at a youth facility.
Samantha L. Jamison, 39, of Marion Center, was charged by Greensburg-based state troopers March 12 for allegedly showing explicit photos she took while working at the Outside In School of Experiential Education Inc. in Fairfield Township.
State police first learned of the incident back in 2024 after a juvenile claimed Jamison showed them nude pictures of herself while escorting the minor to the Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital after a fight in October. According to a release from the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office Monday, another juvenile also came forward claiming Jamison showed them photos of herself “undressed,” while she escorted them to a medical facility.
When state police questioned Jamison about the allegations she told them she was “surprised it took police so long to contact her,” according to the DA’s office.
Jamison told police she had no nude photographs on her phone and consented to a search. It was during the search that police found several explicit photos in a trash folder that were deleted days after the alleged incidents took place.
A review of the photos found at least one of Jamison at Outside In School on a resident’s bed “exposing herself” with other residents in the photo, the DA’s office said.
According to the DA’s office, Jamison told police she had been exchanging photographs with another coworker at the facility and the residents must have seen them at some point.
Jamison is charged with two counts of disseminating sexually explicit material to a minor, felonies; two counts of corruption of minors, misdemeanors; one count of tampering physical evidence, misdemeanor; one count of attempting to tamper with physical evidence, a misdemeanor, and two summary harassment offenses.
Jamison will be arraigned April 14 in front of Magisterial District Court Judge Tamara J. Mahady at 9:30 a.m.
